Cookie Policy
AloraPay uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to keep our platform running smoothly and to understand how it's used. This policy explains what we use, why, and how you can control it.
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website or web application. They allow the platform to remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and collect usage information. Similar technologies — such as local storage, session storage, and pixel tags — serve comparable functions and are covered by this policy.
How We Use Cookies
AloraPay uses cookies for the following broad purposes:
- Essential operation: To keep the platform functional — maintaining sessions, routing orders, and securing payments.
- Fraud prevention & security: To detect and prevent suspicious or fraudulent activity on the platform.
- Performance & analytics: To understand how merchants and guests use the platform, measure feature adoption, and diagnose issues.
- Preferences: To remember user settings, language preferences, and admin dashboard configurations.
Important: AloraPay does not use cookies for advertising or behavioural tracking across third-party websites. We do not sell or share cookie data with ad networks.
Cookie Categories
Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are required for the platform to function. They cannot be disabled. They include session management, authentication tokens, CSRF protection, and the transmission of orders and payment data. Without them, the Services cannot operate.
Functional Cookies
These cookies enable features that improve usability — such as remembering your admin dashboard layout, preferred language, or recently viewed menu sections. They are not essential but meaningfully improve the experience. You can disable these via the cookie consent panel.
Analytics Cookies
These cookies help us understand platform usage. We collect aggregated data on which features are used, how long sessions last, and where errors occur. Data is anonymised before analysis. You may opt out of analytics cookies at any time.

Your Choices
Browser Settings
Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Note that disabling essential cookies will prevent the platform from functioning correctly — orders cannot be placed and payments cannot be processed without them.
Browser-level cookie control guidance:
Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. AloraPay currently does not respond to DNT signals because there is no consistent industry standard for their implementation. We will re-evaluate this as standards evolve.
Managing Consent
When you first access the AloraPay platform as a guest, you will see a cookie consent panel similar to the one below. You can choose to accept all cookies, accept only essential cookies, or customise your preferences by category.
You may revisit your cookie preferences at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of any AloraPay page.
Policy Updates
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the cookies we use, regulatory requirements, or changes in our platform. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify Merchants via email.
